Paul Scratons bok om strövtågen längs Östersjökusten bjuder på intressant läsning. Just nu befinner jag mig (med Scratons hjälp) i trakterna runt Stralsund. Här blir Östersjön helt magisk med det unika Boddenlandskapet. En gång var havet här fyllt av öar men stormar har genom tidernas gång skapat landförbindelse och laguner, skyddade vikar som är fyllda av fisk. Scraton skriver också om den poetiska melankoli som råder här.
"The light green of the young wheat fields, the bright yellow of the rape. The blue of the sky and the white clouds racing across it. The red and the blue paint slapped on to walls beneath the thatched roofs of the fishermen's houses that are now, for the most part, holiday cottages."
