Vem kan bättre illustera detta vackra träd än den amerikanska poeten Edna St.Vincent Millay (1892-1950). St. Vincent Millay var född i Rockland i delstaten Maine och levde ett mycket omväxlande liv som illusteras i hennes mest kända dikt "First Fig".
My candle burns at both ends;

It gives a lovely light.
Edna St.Vincent Millay blev den tredje kvinnan som tilldelades Pulitzerpriset i poesi.
